ADG Postgraduate Bursary

One award, valued at £5,000, is available. The award is composed of £2,500 as a direct award to the winner and a further £2,500 to be used to support delivery of a project to improve and promote oral health.

The award can be used, at the discretion of the applicant and approval of the award committee, to cover travel costs, loss of practice income and associated costs of delivering the project.

Aga Khan Foundation

The Foundation assists students with tuition fees and living expenses only. The cost of travel is not included in AKF scholarships. Applicants are requested to make every effort to obtain funding from other sources as well, so that the amount requested from the Foundation can be reduced to a minimum. Preference is given to those who have been able to secure some funding from alternative sources.

Half of the scholarship amount is considered as a loan, which must be reimbursed with an annual service charge of 5%. A guarantor is required to co-sign the loan agreement. The payback period is five years, starting six months after the study period funded by the Aga Khan Foundation.

The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies.31/03/2014 (Note: competition closed for this year)
AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award: Shakespeare Institute

This AHRC award provides fees and maintenance for UK students. A bursary may be available for a successful EU applicant.

Applications are invited for an AHRC-funded collaborative doctoral award, to run from October 2015 to October 2018, on the Royal Shakespeare Company's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream: A Play for the Nation.'17/04/2015
Amelia Earhart Fellowship - Zonta International The Fellowship of US$10,000, awarded to 35 Fellows around the globe each year, may be used at any university or college offering accredited post-graduate courses and degrees in these fields. The Amelia Earhart Fellowship program helps talented women, pursuing advanced studies in the typically male-dominated fields of aerospace-related sciences and engineering, achieve their educational goals. The Fellowship enables these women to invest in state-of-the-art computers to conduct their research, purchase expensive books and resource materials, and participate in specialized studies around the globe.15/11/2014 (Note: competition closed for this year)
Amphlett Scholarship (Theology and Religion) The Amphlett scholarship pays for tuition and accommodation fees, either in part or in full. Assistance with travel costs to and from the home country may also be given.  The Amphlett Scholarship is open to Chinese students applying to study for a postgraduate degree programme in Theology and Religion.No deadline; open-ended award

Grants of £500 per year are available for Jewish students studying at UK universities.

Arthurian Postgraduate Awards The awards, currently of £1,250, are intended as a contribution to postgraduate fees. Preference will be given in the making of awards to support for full research degrees. Students who are awarded a grant for the coming year may apply for grants in future years on a basis of parity with those applying for the first time. The Eugène Vinaver Trust, in association with the British Branch of the International Arthurian Society and under the terms of the Barron Bequest, offers a number of annual awards for postgraduate research in any field of Arthurian Studies.30/04/2015
